Cost-Free Counseling for New Mothers
Mother Nurture is a four-week program focusing on post-partum support for new moms. Participants benefit from group therapy sessions supervised by a licensed therapist. Mothers also have access to a registered dietician, yoga instruction, and peer support.
The Effects of Post-Partum Counseling
Post-partum counseling isn’t limited to treating a mother’s mental health. Mother Nurture’s peer groups also help you navigate childcare resources, manage your relationship with your partner, and maintain a healthy diet and activity levels.
Ultimately, our group counseling sessions aim to eliminate two of the most damaging aspects of motherhood: loneliness and isolation. Through our program, we help you understand that there are resources for new parents in our community.
Worldwide, more than 30% of women and newborns do not receive postnatal care in the first few days after birth.

Which Moms Qualify for the Program?
This program offers multiple therapy groups. We organize mothers into groups of 4-12 weeks post-delivery or 13+ weeks post-delivery. Apart from these qualifications, we welcome every new mom to participate.
How Do You Select Participants?
After reviewing the applications, we select two groups of 6 to 8 individuals to join us with their newborns for in-person sessions at the Mindology building. The first group of mothers (4-12 weeks post-delivery) are selected first-come-first-served. Participants for the 13+ weeks post-delivery sessions are chosen at random.
What Kind of Therapy Do You Offer?
Our moms join multiple group therapy sessions facilitated by a licensed therapist. Each person receives a new mom care kit and learns from classes designed for each group. Each of our participants learn from one another and share tips with their fellow new parents. We even plan one week for your partner to accompany you.
Mother Nurture participants also receive dietician consults, family management resources, and even yoga classes for new moms. No matter the activity, each course is designed with the needs of new mothers in mind.
How Long Can I Participate?
Those joining us for the 4-12 week post-delivery program receive the support they need over 5 weeks. Mothers who are 13+ weeks post-delivery join us every other week for ongoing support.
