Mother Nurture

Cost-Free Counseling for New Mothers

Mother Nurture is an ongoing program focusing on post-partum support for all moms, no matter how long after you’ve had a child. You’ll participate in group therapy sessions supervised by a licensed therapist. Mothers also have access to a registered dietician, yoga instruction, and peer support.

The Effects of Post-Partum Counseling

Post-partum counseling isn’t limited to treating a mother’s mental health. Mother Nurture’s peer groups also help you navigate childcare resources, manage your relationship with your partner, and maintain healthy diet and activity levels.

Ultimately, our group counseling sessions aim to eliminate two of the most damaging but common aspects of motherhood: loneliness and isolation. Through our program, we help you understand that there are resources for parents in our community–no matter your child’s age.

How to Enroll in Mother Nurture

Mother Nurture provides cost-free counseling for mothers in our community. We have many peer groups running at the same time, and spots are given on a first-come-first-served basis. Fill out your information below to participate in the program.

Which Moms Qualify for the Program?

This program offers multiple therapy groups. We welcome every mom at any stage in motherhood to participate.

How Do You Select Participants?

After reviewing the applications, randomly selected mothers will join us for in-person sessions at the Mindology building. Sessions take place on Tuesdays at 5pm.

What Kind of Therapy Do You Offer?

Our moms join multiple group therapy sessions facilitated by a licensed therapist. Each person receives a mom care kit and learns from classes on caregiving, managing your relationship with your partner, and transitioning back to work. Each of our participants learn from one another and share tips with their fellow new parents. We even plan some weeks for your partner to accompany you.

Mother Nurture participants also receive dietician consults, family management resources, and even yoga classes. No matter the activity, each part of the course is designed with the needs of mothers in mind.

How Long Can I Participate?

Mother Nurture is an ongoing program, meaning that any mom at any postpartum stage can join us at any time and depart when they feel ready.
